We Got Served Reader Awards 2009 – The Winners Announced

Best Windows Home Server Add-In

1st Place: Advanced Admin Console
2nd Place: AutoExit 2009 for WHS
3rd Place: P80

This award goes to the best community developed add-in for Windows Home Server, and is always the most hotly contested award. This year we’ve seen a new crop of high quality, well supported add-ins released for the platform, and I’m sure it this was the most difficult category for you to vote in. That said, there’s only one winner and this year it’s a hearty well done to Andreas M, whose Advanced Admin Console provides a lot of additional features to the Windows Home Server Console, clearly appreciated by those of you who love to tinker under the hood! Second place this year goes to Nick Asseloos for AutoExit 2009 for Windows Home Server, a great power management add-in which saw a major new release this year. In third place we find P80 from Kris Rodenhausen, which many of you have downloaded and installed this year.

That wraps up the reader awards for another year, and I’d like to congratulate the winners and runners up for another great set of products in 2009 as well as thanking all of you who took time out to vote. Here’s looking forward to another rich seam of great home server releases in 2010!

  1. Too bad the SageTV HD Theater extender didn't make the cut for media receiver. It isn't well known, but I think it is more impressive than any of the other three devices.
